With years of pop-ups behind their belt, cult-classic Tóu wanted to open London’s first Sando Bar. Tucked away in a corner of Borough Market, chef duo Ana & Meng, alongside natural wine aficionado Stefano Cazzato, pairing funky wines with their famous Iberico Pork sandos. From anyone that knows TaTa Eatery’s gastronomic style, the Tóu brand needed to create space for Ana & Meng’s signature quirky flavours. Taking references from the 90’s, where we saw a merging of Japanese-Americana culture, we created a nostalgic world for the Tóu brand to play in. Full of retro references made-a-new, a brand universe where anything felt possible, a place in which food, wine & art experimentation could flourish. Throughout the brand’s touch-points, we created moments of play & experimentation, whether digitally on the Tóu website or with fly-postering around London’s hot-spots, we were able to help elevate Tóu’s cult-status with queues and sell-outs throughout the restaurant’s opening.
